The Application Portal is now OPEN for the 2025 Season
Hiring: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass (acoustic and electric), woodwind doublers, including double reeds, trumpet, horn, trombone, pianist and percussion- kit and orchestral experience required.
Rehearsal begins at 9:30 a.m. with a break for lunch at 12:00 and continues from 1:30 until 5:00 with a performance in the evening. The full orchestra has two playing calls each day, along with sectionals and other rehearsals. There are six performances of each show, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. matinee performances on Wednesday and Thursday. There is a Sitzprobe on Saturday afternoon, a rehearsal on Sunday evening, and a dress rehearsal on Monday evening.
In addition to the regular season of nine shows, CLOC proudly participates in events that elevate our local community of Falmouth, MA. Examples of such events include an Independence Day Concert, an annual orchestra concert at the Cape Cod Conservatory, as well as volunteer-based opportunities such as performing at donor events.
All Company members are assigned chores that help keep the campus and theatre running.
Company members are responsible for their own transportation to and from Falmouth, MA. The company will provide transportation from the Falmouth or Bourne Bus Station to our West Falmouth Campus.
Members of the Orchestra must arrive on campus by 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 6th and depart by noon on Sunday August 17th.
The entire company is required to participate in a final strike on the evening of Saturday August 16th.
Exceptions to arrival and departure dates for students returning to school will be considered on a case by case basis.
Audition Requirements:
Three contrasting excerpts.
Audition Requirements: Please submit a single link to a self tape (between 4 and 6 minutes long) including 3 contrasting selections. At least one must be orchestral. Jazz or musical theatre excerpts are also appropriate.
Tips:
These may be audio recordings but video recordings are encouraged. You will also be asked to submit a resume and names of three references.
Applications must be received by midnight February 1st.
You will be notified of your application status by March 15th.

Tips:
- Bear in mind that requiring three songs encourages you to demonstrate stylistic differences between and within the genres.
- Cuts are welcome and encouraged.
- Combine all material into one video with a list of time markers for each selection. Your video should not be longer than 6 minutes.
- If you are a doubler, please audition on your strongest instrument. We will ask for excerpts on your doubles as needed.
