
Mark Pearson (Executive & Artistic Director) Originally from Hull, Massachusetts, Mark received his BA in theater and philosophy from Boston College and his MFA from Boston University. Mark has been a member of the CLOC family since 2003 and has held several different positions including costume designer: set designer and technical director: and stage director. Mark has also appeared on the Highfield Stage as a last minute cover. In addition to his dedication to CLOC, Mark has also kept up an active theater career designing, stage managing and assistant directing in Germany at several opera houses including the Aalto Musiktheater in Essen and the prestigious Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf.

Joan McDonald (General Manager) lives in South Dennis, MA and is a clay artist–primarily sculpture and hand-building and describes her work as biomorphic. She says that she has “not one iota” of musical talent but grew up listening to opera and musical comedy. She received a BA from Lesley University and studied at Andover Newton Theological School. She has worked in a variety of roles on and off the Cape, from the Director of Religious Education at Unitarian Universalist congregations in Iowa and Massachusetts, Director of Operations at the Dennis Chamber of Commerce, Training and Office Coordinator for the Cape & Islands Suicide Prevention Coalition, consulting and managing workforce development and school to careers programs.

Beth Burrier (Associate Artistic Director) is thrilled to be back in Falmouth this summer. Beth holds degrees from both Otterbein University and Ithaca College, and has over 150 musicals to her credit, including the National Tours of Rent, Beehive: the 60's Musical and The Full Monty. Some shows she has conducted at CLOC include The Music Man, Crazy For You, Fiddler on the Roof, and the CLOC premieres of Pippin and Les Miserables.
Kristin Knutson (Production Manager/Technical Director) is thrilled to being joining CLOC! A native of the Pacific Northwest, Kristin holds a BA in Theatre Design and Studio Art from Willamette University. Kristin came to New England in 2006 for an internship at the American Repertory Theater and subsequently spent 13 years advancing through various positions within the A.R.T. scene shop. After a run of nine months serving as A.R.T.’s Interim Technical Director, Kristin shifted her career trajectory toward teaching and is earning a Masters in Theatre Education at Emerson College. Kristin is looking forward to spending the summer surrounded by enthusiastic theatre-makers, and she expects this first season with CLOC to be a fantastic learning experience for herself as an educator, as well as an opportunity to share her working knowledge with up-and-coming professionals.

Miles Plant (Conductor/Orchestra Advisor) is thrilled to be back at CLOC for another summer. Miles has recently worked on The Sound of Music and A Bronx Tale National Tours as Associate Conductor. Miles holds a Master’s in Musical Theatre/Opera Music Direction from Arizona State University, under the tutelage of Brian Demaris. Miles has worked, conducted, and performed with numerous groups, including the Milwaukee Symphony, the Milwaukee Irish Fest Choir, The Singing Statesman, the UW-Eau Claire Jazz Bands, and Arizona Broadway Theatre, The Phoenix Symphony, Baldwin Wallace University and The University of Memphis.

Gwen K. Mullaney (Director of Alumni Relations) first came to CLOC in 2014 as a member of the business staff. A native of New Orleans, she attended Lawrence University and is currently studying business at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She now works in Chicago for not for profit organizations which create free, family-friendly programming that promote the arts.
Peter Cook (Digital Content Advisor) is board member and historian for the Falmouth Theatre Guild and has been active in Highfield Theatre productions for the last 13 years. He has been set designer and tech director for many productions directed by his wife Lisa Jo Rudy including You Can’t Take It With You, Blithe Spirit and Arsenic and Old Lace. He will be the set designer for the musical Carousel with FTG in 2021. Peter has also been a theater technical assistant with CLOC board member Clyde Tyndale. Peter has been a professional videographer, editor for science and government projects as well as documentary and corporate video. He also has 12 years experience with NPR and PBS in Philadelphia. His day job is the Information Systems Department Head for the Falmouth Public Libraries. He is a year round resident with his family in Falmouth.

Lindsay Miller (Pianist) is thrilled to be a part of her first season at CLOC as an accompanist. She is a rising junior at Baldwin Wallace University, pursuing a B.M. in Music Theatre Music Direction. She has assistant music directed and played keys 2 in the pit for multiple productions at school and in her hometown, Greendale, WI. Some of her favorite productions she’s been a part of include Cabaret, Kinky Boots, Mamma Mia, and The Scottsboro Boys.

Luke Molloy (Pianist) is thrilled to join the College Light Opera Company for Digital CLOC. Luke has worked as a music director for several community theatre, college, and high school productions, and as a pianist and keyboardist for professional productions around New England including at Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Umbrella Stage Company, and the Company Theatre. Luke hails from Quincy, MA, and is an undergraduate student at Berklee College of Music, studying piano performance and conducting.

Caitlin Belcik (Choreographer) is thrilled to be joining the CLOC family! Caitlin graduated from Penn
State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre where she spent most of her free time choreographing concerts, musicals, and dance showcases. She has performed on Broadway and in 30+ regional productions. Most recently, Caitlin choreographed
the Off-Broadway revival of Seesaw at Theatre Row. She looks forward to meeting everyone virtually, but cannot wait when the days comes to meet face to face!

Zachary Manlapid (Associate Conductor) is a native from San Diego, California where he attended Palomar Community College before transferring to UC Berkeley, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2018. Shortly after he graduated, he was hired as the Assistant Conductor to the UC Berkeley Chamber Chorus. He spent his first summer at CLOC in 2019 as an Associate Conductor where he conquered his fear of the piano and expanded his love for conducting and theatre. His life ambitions are to inspire people through music and be inspired by incredibly delicious food!

Marisa Rebelo (Publicist/Alumni Development) is thrilled to be spending her summer with CLOC! A native to southeastern MA, Marisa is an actor, arts administrator, educator, director and choreographer. She currently serves as a Teaching Artist for PPAC with Disney Musicals in Schools - building sustainable theatre programs in underserved public elementary schools. Regional: Singin’ in the Rain, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady (New Bedford Festival Theatre). Directorial: When We Were Young and Unafraid, Seussical JR. (COVID-cancellation), The Marriage of Bette and Boo (Assist. Director). BA in Musical Theatre, Rhode Island College. @_marisarebelo

Geneva Knight (Business Manager/Alumni Development) from Charlottesville, VA, just earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Industry from James Madison University. Geneva is a flutist, arts administrator, former Drum Major for the JMU Marching Royal Dukes, and Assistant Music Director/Orchestra Conductor for Eastern Mennonite University’s Spring 2020 production of Shrek the Musical (COVID cancellation). Some of Geneva’s pit orchestra credits include Sweeney Todd, Les Misérables, Hairspray, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. She spent a month with CLOC in 2018 in the orchestra for The Pirates of Penzance, and she is thrilled to be returning this summer as Business Manager.

Maggie Milano (Business Office/Assistant Business Manager) just finished her sophomore year as a Voice Performance major at the Conservatory at Baldwin Wallace University. She studies under applied voice teacher Nancy Maultsby. Some of her roles include Second Woman in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Yniold in Debussy’s Pelleas et Melisande. She also had the pleasure of working with Metropolitan Opera Soprano Jennifer Rowley in Voice Performance Workshop in her Spring 2019 and Fall 2019 semesters. Maggie is president of Bella Voce, the student government for Voice Performance which gives her opportunities in leadership and outreach. She is also a part of her sorority, Alpha Phi.

Sara Chemi (Business Office/Assistant Publicist) is a sophomore at SUNY Potsdam and is double majoring in Theatre and Secondary Social Studies Education. Onstage Sara has played many roles, some of her favorites being ensemble in Love and Information (SUNY Potsdam), Kathy Selden in Singin’ In the Rain (Pinkerton Players), and Kathryn Shaub in Radium Girls (Pinkerton Players). She is also an intern at the Stockbridge Theatre in Derry, NH where she works in both the box office and backstage. This is Sara’s first season with CLOC and she is extremely excited for this wonderful opportunity.
