Thoroughly Modern Millie
July 10-14, with a matinee on July 12.
Based on the 1967 movie of the same name, this 6-time Tony Award winner is a musical spoof of the Roaring 20's and a CLOC premiere. The feisty young flapper Millie's plan to marry a wealthy employer is complicated when she falls in love with the wrong man.
July 17-21, with a matinee on July 19.
We've got magic to do, just for you! With music by Stephen Schwartz, a mysterious troupe of performers tell the story of Pippin, a young prince in search of meaning and significance.
July 24-28, with a matinee on July 26.
A comic operetta with soaring music by Jacques Offenbach, La Perichole follows the story of two Peruvian street singers desperately in love but too poor to afford a marriage license. When the viceroy attempts to make Perichole his mistress, a secret marriage plot results in confusion, heart-ache, and of course, a happy ending.
The Music Man
July 31-August 4, with a matinee on August 2.
Meredith Wilson's classic musical! When Harold Hill, a traveling con man, arrives in River City, he convinces the locals to start a boys band. His plan to flee soon after he receives the money is derailed when he falls for the local librarian.
August 7-11, with a matinee on August 9.
The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and his accomplice, Mrs. Lovett return to the Highfield stage in Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award winning Victorian thriller.
August 14-18, with a matinee on August 16.
...or, The Peer and the Peri. All the House of Lords want to marry Phyllis, a beautiful shepherdess. Phyllis, however, is madly in love with Strephon, a young shepherd who is half mortal and half fairy. Topsy-turviness ensues when the world of British government comes face to face with the world of the fairies.
August 21-25, with a matinee on August 23.
1931, Berlin. All of Europe is having the time of their lives, including a young American writer who has just arrived in the city. He meets Sally Bowles, an eccentric British cabaret singer, currently engaged at the seedy Kit Kat Klub. It seems everyone is oblivious to what is going on outside.
